TRAINING
JIU-JITSU
The main focus of the camp is, of course, Jiu-Jitsu. You’ll be training under the guidance of 4 experienced instructors! Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to attend 4 classes and one open mat session. That adds up to a total of 20 hours of Jiu-Jitsu!
And if that’s still not enough, the mat is accessible 24/7. You can roll, drill, or just chill and philosophize about Jiu-Jitsu.
All classes will be recorded, and you will receive a short recap video from each session, highlighting the most important details so you don’t forget anything. You won’t have to worry about taking notes—just focus on enjoying the training to the fullest!

INSTRUCTORS
TOM DOWDALL (Canada)

Introducing the one and only Crash Test Tommy, a BJJ black belt with a resume so questionable that it might just be a work of accidental genius. It took a solid 30 years of grappling, surviving more takedowns than a crash test dummy, to finally earn the illustrious title of the "World's Worst Black Belt." Move over, world champions, there's a new sheriff in town, and he's probably tying his belt wrong.
In between mastering the art of unintentional comedy on the mats, he’s spent a whopping 40 years in the mental health arena. Now, he’s decided to blend his love for grappling with his extensive knowledge of the human mind. The result? A concoction of unique and interesting experiences on the mats that may leave you questioning both your sanity and his credentials.

So, buckle up, folks! Whether you're a seasoned grappler or a mental health enthusiast (or just lost on the internet), Crash Test Tommy is here to guide you through a journey of twisted humour, unexpected submissions, and the occasional therapy session disguised as a roll. Get ready for a wild ride where the crash test dummy becomes the sensei or is that, senseless.
Either way... Welcome to the madness!
WILLIAM DORMAN (USA)

Meet William Dorman, a man who embodies the spirit of adventure. With a career spanning 24 years in the U.S. Navy Special Operations, William has proven himself to be a true patriot and a highly skilled warrior.
Born and raised in northern Michigan, William had always felt drawn to the excitement and challenge of the military. After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a member of the most elite Special Operations Team on the planet. During his time in the service, William was deployed nearly 20 times to some of the most dangerous and remote parts of the world.

In addition to his military training, William is also a highly accomplished martial artist. With a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he has won numerous medals in competitions at every belt. His incredible grappling skills have not only earned him recognition in the martial arts community, but have also served him well in his former profession.
William’s love of physical challenge extends beyond martial arts. He is an accomplished wrestler, having won numerous awards and accolades in his younger years. He is also a seasoned mountain climber, having scaled some of the tallest peaks in the world. And when he's not scaling mountains or grappling on the mat, William can often be found sailing the open seas or skydiving from great heights up to 35,000 ft (more than 10 km).
Despite his many accomplishments, William remains a humble and down-to-earth individual who loves life. He is a passionate teacher, sharing his knowledge and experiences in life as an instructor with others. He is also a global traveler, having visited more than 50 countries and experiencing the diverse cultures of the world.
In short, William Dorman is a pretty good dude and an inspiration to all who know him. With his unwavering positive attitude, impressive physical abilities, and his love of adventure, he is a man who truly enjoys crushing life and doing cool stuff.
MAARIA HALTSONEN (Finland)

Maaria Haltsonen is a jiujitsu black belt from Imatra Finland who has been training since 2012. She is now living in the Netherlands and teaching jiujitsu in Antwerp. She's an instructor of BJJ Globetrotters and has been teaching in many different gyms/camps.

Maaria has competed actively since her white belt years to present but her focus is nowadays more on coaching. Her classes are suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners. She wants her students to make self-discoveries during the classes but without missing any important details.
Beside of the mats Maaria is a dietitian, who works also with athletes. She has a bachelor’s degree in sports exercise & medicine, and she is a yoga teacher (RYT-200) with over 20 years of yoga experience.
Maaria loves to travel. Her goal is to see the world as much as possible, visit different BJJ gyms and meet & train with new people. She has always a smile on her face, even when rolling. Other hobbies are weightlifting and knitting (not a joke!). Maaria also loves dancing salsa and drinks way too much coffee.
CHRISTOPHER BAUER (USA)

Christopher Bauer is a 2nd degree black belt in jiu-jitsu, Bauer's martial arts journey began in 2002 at the San Diego State Judo Club, where he first stepped onto the mat and discovered his passion for grappling. Currently, Christopher Bauer imparts his knowledge and experience as an instructor at two esteemed jiu-jitsu academies: Elks Jiu-Jitsu in Portland, Oregon, and The Base in Woodland, Washington.

At these academies, he specializes in teaching half-guard, dominant top game concepts and pressure passing. Bauer's teaching philosophy emphasizes strategy and proper mechanics, ensuring his students not only learn effective techniques but also understand the underlying principles that make these techniques successful. Christopher Bauer's journey in martial arts is a testament to his dedication, skill, and passion for teaching.
ACCOMMODATION
HOTEL
One of the biggest advantages of this accommodation is its proximity to the mat—just 3 meters away! The rooms accommodate 2 to 5 people and have been recently renovated. Some rooms include private bathrooms, while others have shared facilities in the hallway, and some even feature a terrace. Prices vary accordingly.
However, accommodation is not mandatory. You have the option to attend only the training sessions without booking a room or meals. This is particularly convenient for local participants who prefer to commute.
